From the Editor
"We did not start this journal because the world lacks literary magazines. We started it because too few of them hold themselves to an account that goes beyond craft — to the question of what literature is actually for."

About the Journal
The Triad Review is a biannual literary journal founded in Connecticut. It takes its name from the three ideals that have guided serious literature across every tradition and century.
Clarity, honesty about human nature, and genuine engagement with reality — not abstraction or ideology.
Form, proportion, and disciplined language. Craft is not ornament but the structure through which meaning becomes visible.
Moral seriousness and reverence for the dignity of human life — gravity rather than cynicism or sentiment.
We publish fiction, nonfiction, poetry, essays, profiles, and art. What binds these forms together is not subject matter but the manner in which they are made: with discipline of craft, honesty of vision, and the kind of moral seriousness that treats human experience as something worth getting exactly right.
We are not the product of any single school of thought, political tendency, or aesthetic movement. We belong to the longer conversation — conducted across centuries, in many languages and forms — about what it means to render human life with clarity and care.
